Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BookIdeaLab (the "Service"), operated by BookIdeaLab ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

BookIdeaLab is a software-as-a-service platform that provides AI-powered book idea validation, market signals and book structure generation. The Service is offered on a freemium subscription model with a Free tier and paid tiers (Starter, Pro and Authority) that unlock higher usage limits and additional capabilities.

• You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws.

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or as stated at checkout) through our payment provider, Razorpay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Applicable taxes (including GST where relevant) may be added to the displayed price.
• Plan features, prices and limits may change with reasonable notice.

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account. Refund eligibility is described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

• The Service, including its software, design, branding and content, is owned by BookIdeaLab and protected by intellectual property laws.
• You retain all rights to the book ideas, descriptions and other inputs you submit ("User Content").
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process User Content solely to provide the Service to you.
• AI-generated outputs delivered to you may be used freely for your own writing and publishing projects.

AI-generated analyses, scores and blueprints are informational suggestions, not guarantees of commercial success, accuracy or completeness. You are solely responsible for editorial, business and legal decisions based on outputs from the Service.

You agree not to:

• Violate any law or infringe the rights of others.
• Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise harmful.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Resell, sublicense or build a competing service using the Service.
• Bypass usage limits, share accounts beyond what is permitted, or use automated tools to interact with the Service without authorisation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookIdeaLab and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, fail to pay applicable fees, or where required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately; sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
